PEACHLAND  IN WEST KELOWNA

Peachland is a community located on the west side of Okanagan Lake in British Columbia. Although the Okanagan region has long been inhabited by the Okanagan people, Peachland was formed by John Moore Robinson in 1899 and has since developed to become one of the most sought-after places to live or vacation in the Okanagan Valley. The community is situated in a strategic location such that it is only about 20 minutes drive north of Summerland and about 30 minutes drive south of Kelowna City. Just like other communities in the Okanagan, Peachland is experiencing massive development and more people are moving to the area to live.

Whether you are planning on becoming a resident of the community or are planning to come for vacation, this charming and fun-filled community is more than sufficient to feed your demands. For wine enthusiasts, there are vineyards and wineries located in and around the community. Hainle Vineyards, the first ice winemaker in North America, has an organic winery and cookery school in the area. The famous Peachland World of Wheels Car Show is hosted in the community and it is also home to the lake monster Ogopogo. There are parks and other adventure sites to visit in the area, including Zipzone Adventure Park, known as one of the highest zip lines in Canada and the world. If you plan to visit Vancouver, it’s going to take you approximately 4 hours of driving (370 km).
